Systematic Literature Review: The Role Of Song Media In Improving The Understanding Of Elementary School Students

Abstract


The existence of this research aims to explore the role of song media as a means of learning in improving the understanding of elementary school students. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method or approach, this study analyzed 13 scientific articles from scientific journals published from 2019 to 2025, which discussed the use of songs in the context of primary education with 13 main articles that met the criteria selected and analyzed further. The results of the study showed that songs were able to improve students' conceptual understanding, strengthen long-term memory, and encourage motivation and active involvement in the learning process. Thus, song media is recommended as an innovative strategy in fun and meaningful learning. This study suggests that teachers should be more proactive in integrating song media into the planning and implementation of learning in the classroom.
