Development of Microlearning-Based Motion Graphics:“Shànliáng de Māmā” for Learning Mandarin Writing Skills

Abstract


Women have become increasingly involved in the production of batik art, a rapidly growing cultural practice in Indonesia. In Malang Regency, for example, batik designs are predominantly inspired by natural elements, temple reliefs, and local folklore. This study explores whether women's participation in the batik industry contributes to enhancing their roles within the household, examines their involvement in economic and development activities, and assesses whether the industry itself fosters women's empowerment. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to batik artisans in Malang, Indonesia. The findings suggest that the batik sector supports development initiatives and boosts women's economic participation. Furthermore, the industry plays a crucial role in empowering women by facilitating financial independence and contributing positively to household economies.
