MYTHS AT THE WUKU TAUN TRADITIONAL CEREMONY OF THE CIKONDANG INDIGENOUS PEOPLE IN THE SOCIETY 5.0 ERA

Abstract

This research was conducted based on problems that occurred in Sundanese traditional villages where cultural values and traditions have begun to be eroded by the currents of globalization and modernization, especially entering the era of society 5.0. In this threat, the indigenous people of Cikondang Lamajang Village, Bandung Regency, are still trying to consistently maintain their culture and traditions. This study focuses on revealing cultural values and myths in the Wuku Taun traditional ceremony as a cultural maintainer. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection is carried out using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using anthropolinguistic theory according to the views of Duranti (2001). Based on the results of data analysis, it was identified that cultural values and myths in the implementation of the Wuku Taun ceremony of the Cikondang Indigenous People are very diverse and are maintained as social institutions that regulate the order of annual routine traditional ceremonies and provide an important role in social life and become one of the sources of Sundanese cultural values.  Keywords: era society 5.0, myth, indigenous people of Cikondang, wuku taun.
