Latihan relaksasi otot progresif berpengaruh meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada lansia

Abstract


Latar belakang: Perubahan fisiologis pada lansia menyebabkan terjadinya keterbatasan fisik tertentu yang mempengaruhi kulitas tidur lansia. Keterbatasan fisik tersebut dapat mengganggu aktifitas sehari-hari sehingga lansia mengalami kesulitas dalam melakukan gerakan relaksasi otot, oleh karena itu disarankan untuk melakukan latihan relaksasi otot progresif untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur serta kualitas hidup lansia. Tujuan: Untuk memaparkan bahwa optimalisasi latihan relaksasi otot progresif berpengaruh meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest without control group design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 33 lansia dan menggunakan hasil analisa data uji Wilcoxon. Hasil: Jumlah tingkat kualitas tidur lansia sebelum mengikuti latihan relaksasi otot progresif dengan kategori kualitas tidur baik sebanyak 0 responden (0,00%) dan sesudah mengikuti latihan relaksasi otot progresif sebanyak 8 responden (24,2%). Hasil uji Wilcoxon p=0,00 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Kesimpulan: Latihan relaksasi otot progresif berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada lansia.
