PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING PADA SETTING PROFESIONAL: BURNOUT DAN JENIS PROFESI SEBAGAI PREDIKTOR PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING

Abstract


Psychological Well-Being (PWB) mempunyai peranan penting dalam keberfungsian positif individu di berbagai tempat, salah satunya dalam setting profesional. Dalam dunia kerja, PWB seringkali ditemukan berkaitan dengan kondisi burnout pada karyawan. Namun demikian, temuan beberapa penelitian sebelumnya mengenai dinamika hubungan burnout dan PWB masih belum konsisten, salah satunya karena jenis pekerjaan subjek yang berbeda-beda di setiap penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi PWB pada setting professional, dengan burnout dan jenis pekerjaan, yaitu perawat dan polisi, sebagai prediktornya. Hasil analisis regresi menemukan bahwa burnout dapat memprediksi 33% dari nilai PWB. Variabel jenis profesi menambah persentase prediksi menjadi 52%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa burnout berperan dalam memprediksi PWB, namun dalam meneliti PWB dan burnout dalam setting pekerjaan, perlulah mempertimbangkan jenis profesi subjek.
