Gamified Flipped Classroom: Enjoyful Framework dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris

Abstract


Strategi pembelajaran flipped classroom sudah menjadi tren sebagai pembelajaran aktif yang sedang berkembang saat ini. Keberadaan strategi pembelajaran flipped classroom telah diterapkan juga dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Strategi pembelajaran ini menarik untuk diimplementasikan karena tidak hanya mengubah teacher-centered menjadi student-centered tetapi juga memberikan peningkatan terhadap prestasi belajar dan keterlibatan siswa dalam prose pembelajaran. Namun demikian, dalam penerapannya masih ditemukan banyak tantangan dalam proses penerapannya, sehingga diperlukan adanya kerangka pembelajaran yang mampu memberikan proses yang kuat agar siswa mampu memiliki kemampuan sesuai capaian pembelajaran. Menanggapi hal tersebut dibutuhkan pembelajaran yang berbeda dalam proses flipped classroom yaitu game-based learning. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sebuah atau framework pembelajaran yang mampu memberikan dampak positif dalam proses pembelajaran siswa yaitu gamified-flipped classroom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah kerangka atau framework pembelajran yang kuat untuk strategi pembelajaran flipped classroom dengan menggabungkan game-based learning di dalamnya. Setelah menelaah teori yang relevan dan bukti temuan empiris, hasil penelitian ini memberikan framework strategi pembelajaran gamified-flipped classroom yang terdiri dari tiga bagian yaitu introduction, Self-study before class dan Learning Session in the class dengan memadukan aplikasi permainan didalamnya. Framework pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini dianggap sebagai penelitian awal, dengan demikian diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk membuktikan kefektifannya.
