EMPOWERING STUDENTS WELL-BEING THROUGHT PRACTICAL LIFE SKILLS COACHING: A STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT APPROACH
Abstract
Abstract This research aims to examine how active learning strategies in practical life skills education can foster student well-being in early childhood education units. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at BA Restu 1, Malang City. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of condensation, presentation, and verification of data using content and interpretative analysis approaches. The research results show that student well-being is fostered through four main strategies: (1) using student-centered learning designs that provide space for exploration and active participation; (2) integrating project-based and contextual methods that facilitate meaningful learning according to children's real experiences; (3) strengthening communication and collaboration through community involvement; and (4) managing emotions and self through guided reflection practices that support children's self-regulation. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of a holistic, collaborative, and contextual active learning approach in supporting students well-being from an early age. This model can serve as a reference in the development of student welfare-based early childhood education (PAUD) learning practices
