ZOOM MEETING AS A VIOLIN LEARNING MEDIA FOR THE PRIMARY CLASS AT BINA BANGSA SCHOOL MALANG

Abstract


During the COVID-19 pandemic, computer-based information technology has a very important role in the
distance learning process. One of the e-learning-based learning methods that uses social networks is zoom meetings.
Zoom meeting is a video teleconferences platform that is used as a learning medium for teachers and primary
students at Bina Bangsa School Malang. Bina Bangsa School is one of the international schools in Indonesia that
applies music as a compulsory subject (intracurricular). The violin subject is part of a continuous music lesson that
must be followed by fourth grade students from primary to junior college. Since the covid-19 pandemic, the violin
learning process has been transferred to using online learning methods using zoom meetings to facilitate the learning
process for violins at Bina Bangsa School. The results of the learning process using the zoom media of video
conference meetings are very effective, interactive, can support distance learning, and make it easier for students to
absorb learning material delivered by educators because it is more real time. The purpose of using zoom meeting
learning media for students can improve thinking skills, increase creativity, and skills, as well as learning media that is
more interesting and interactive. The advantage of using zoom meetings during the pandemic is that students do not
need to go to school, can study and do assignments from home.
