PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI UNTUK MENCAPAI SDGs TERHADAPPEKERJAAN LAYAKDAN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI

Abstract


Economic education plays an important role in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 8, which emphasizes the provision of decent work and economic growth. This study aims to analyze how economic education can be a strategic instrument in preparing competent human resources, improving economic literacy, and encouraging innovation
in sustainable development. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature study from various journals, SDGs reports, and government policies. The results show that economic education plays a role in increasing public awareness of the importance of resource management, encouraging sustainability-based entrepreneurship, and creating a workforce with 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and digital skills. Integrating a curriculum relevant to sustainable development issues can accelerate the achievement of SDG targets, particularly in reducing unemployment and economic inequality. Economic education not only serves as a means of knowledge transfer but also as fundamental foundation for achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
