Peer Review Process

Review Process:

1. Editor recieving manuscript from author;
2. Editor evaluate manuscript (journal aim and scope, in house style, supplementary data); (Rejected if not meet criteria)
3. Editor screening for plagiarism on offline and online database manually; (Rejected if found major plagiarism, contacted author if found redunancy or minor plagiarism for clarification)
4. Editor send manuscript to reviewer along with review form (double blind review, Both reviewer and author remain anonymous to each other);
5. Reviewer send back his review form to Editor (with revised manuscript if necessary);
6. Editor decision (rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted);
7. Confirmation to the Author.
8. If revision, author revised manuscripts and should be returned to the editor without delay. Returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The proceeding is to provide an open access content under the scientific principle and free access consideration to support the greater globally exchange transfer of knowledge. However, the works / articles in this proceeding are bound by the Creative Commons Attributions-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

Screening Plagiarism

The Plagiarism Screening Process for proceeding was carried out twice using the Turnitin application with the following conditions:

1. Manuscripts submitted first will be screened for plagiarism prior to the initial review process and peer assessment with a maximum word score of 25%.
2. The manuscript will be screened again, the manuscript report is declared ACCEPTED and has gone through the layout edit process with a maximum word information score of 25%.

Publication Ethics

Prosiding Seminar Nasional Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi is a peer-reviewed proceeding published biannually by the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Department, Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Malang. The journal follows the guidelines set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in all aspects of publication ethics. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the publisher, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer, and the author.

Publisher’s Responsibilities

• Publisher publishes manuscripts that have been through the process of editing, reviewing, and lying out according to the rules of scientific journal publication.
• Publisher guarantees the academic freedom for the Editors and Reviewers in carrying out their duties respectively.
• Publisher maintains privacy, intellectual treasure, copyright, and editorial freedom.

• Editors decide articles that are worth publishing and refer to the requirements with regard to defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, and plagiarism.
• Editors emphasize the equality of decision-making in the process of reviewing and accepting the manuscripts without any discrimination of sex, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political ideology.
• Editors will not disclose any information about the manuscripts except the author's permission.
• Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by editors for their own interests and will be returned directly to their authors.

• Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions regarding the submitted manuscripts.
• Reviewers review the manuscripts objectively and based on clear arguments.
• Reviewers are responsible for the quotations, references, duplications, and plagiarism of the reviewed manuscripts.
• Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of the information and do not use the information for personal interests.

• Authors must avoid duplicity and plagiarism in presenting the result of their researches.
• Authors must confirm manuscripts that have been submitted to the journal.
• Authors must write clearly references of their manuscripts.
• Authors must consider the manuscripts according to the rules of scientific journal publication.
• Authors must agree with some editing in the review process and layout without changing substantive contents.
