PENGARUH LATIHAN FISIK INTENSITAS SEDANG TERHADAP KADAR GULA DARAH PUASA TIKUS WISTAR (Rattus novergicus) YANG DIBERI PAKAN TINGGI ADVANCED GLYCATION END PRODUCTS (AGEs)

Abstract


Proses pemanasan banyak dipakai dalam pengolahan makan, untuk meningkatkan rasa dan tampilannya. Proses pemanasan makan ternyata menimbulkan suatu reaksi non enzimatis yang menghasilkan suatu senyawa reaktif yang disebut Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs), yang memiliki banya jenis, salah satunya N-carboxymethyl-lysine (CML). Akumulasi AGEs dalam tubuh berhubungan dengan berbagai gangguan metabolik, salah satunya peningkatan kadar gula darah. Latihan fisik diketahui dapat membantu meregulasi gula darah pada kondisi hiperglikemia, dengan meningkatkan kepekaan reseptor insulin dan uptake glukosa ke dalam sel. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanasan makanan terhadap peningkatan AGEs dan mengetahui pengaruh latihan fisik intensitas sedang terhadap kadar gula darah puasa pada tikus wistar yang diberi diet tinggi AGEs. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental murni dengan desain post test only control group, menggunakan 24 ekor tikus wistar jantan yang dibagi 4 kelompok, yaitu kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, kontrol normal dan kelompok perlakuan. Diet tinggi AGEs diberikan selama 12 minggu, pada minggu 9-12 diberikan perlakuan berupa latihan fisik intensitas sedang. Dilakukan pengukuran CML serum dengan metode ELISA dan gula darah puasa dengan Glukometer. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar CML serum antara tikus yang diberi diet yang dipanaskan dengan diet standar (p< 0,005) dan terdapat pengaruh latihan fisik intensitas sedang terhadap kadar GDP yang diinduksi diet tinggi AGEs, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsumsi makanan yang dipanaskan meningkatkan CML serum dan latihan fisik intensitas sedang berpengaruh terhadap kadar gula darah yang meningkat akibat AGEs.
