IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SEKOLAH BERBASIS PESANTREN

Abstract


Implementation of character education in PAI learning is an element in forming a generation that is moral, honest and responsible. The aim is to apply character education in learning Islamic religious education, as well as analyzing its impact on student character development. A qualitative approach was employed in this case study. The research findings indicate that Islamic boarding school-based schools have a unique approach in integrating character education in PAI learning. This is realized through religious learning, moral curriculum, and activities that emphasize values such as religion, hard work, honesty, discipline, and responsibility towards others. The implementation of character education has a significant positive impact on students' character development. Students at Islamic boarding schools have a deeper understanding of religious, moral and ethical values, and are able to apply them in everyday life. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating character education in the Islamic boarding school-based school curriculum to form a generation of quality and noble character. It is hoped that character education in schools will prepare students to face the challenges of the modern world with strong values.
