UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PUBLIC SPEAKING PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI KEGIATAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF JIGSAW

Abstract


The aim of this research is to improve public speaking skills using the Jigsaw type cooperative method for class IX H students at SMP Negeri 1 Wajak, Malang Regency. This research is classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 32 students. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaire instruments, and learning activity assessment rubrics. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles which included four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this research show an increase in speaking learning outcomes, marked by an increase in the results of the questionnaire instrument for class IX H students in the first cycle, there were 32 students with an average of (63%), in the second cycle there were 32 students (80%). The conclusion of this research shows that the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative method can increase students' self-confidence, communication skills, public speaking abilities and learning outcomes on cell division material.
