Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of online learning system, the pressure faced by universities and students are far greater than before. This condition may impact students’ well-being, especially in relation to academic well-being. In order to maintain good academic well-being, students need to be more academically resilient in managing their difficulties to obtain success. Therefore, this study aimed to measure the association between academic resilience and academic well-being among college students during COVID-19 pandemic. The number of participant recruited through accidental random technique was 233 college students in the city of Banda Aceh. Academic Resilience Scale 30 (ARS-30) was employed to obtain the data on academic resilience, whereas academic well-being was calculated through College Student Well-Being Questionnaire (CSWBQ). Pearson Correlation was used to analyse the data and it showed a positive relationship between those two variables. Besides, the analysis also displayed a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). This indicated that the hypothesis was accepted –there was a very significant relationship between academic resilience and academic well-being among college students during COVID-19 pandemic.
