Peran Penilaian Kinerja sebagai Pertimbangan dalam Proses Pemberhentian Tenaga Pendidik (Studi Kasus di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Malang)
Abstract
educators, especially in maintaining the quality of education. This study aims to analyze the
mechanism of teacher performance assessment and its integration with the dismissal policy
at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Malang City. With a qualitative approach to case studies, data is
collected through in-depth interviews with the school management. The results of the study
show that performance appraisals are carried out systematically, covering pedagogic,
professional, social, and personality aspects, and involve feedback from various
stakeholders. The dismissal process is carried out in a fair manner with stages of intensive
coaching and in-depth evaluation that considers external factors. Transparency, effective
communication, and periodic evaluation mechanisms play an important role in creating a
harmonious work environment and maintaining the quality of education. These findings
affirm the importance of objective and sustainable performance appraisal as the basis for
strategic decision-making in human resource management in educational institutions.
