Penerapan Web Scraping untuk Mengetahui Faktor Pendongkrak Penjualan Produk Marketplace di Tengah Pandemi COVID-19 (Studi kasus: monotaro.id)

Abstract


COVID-19 pandemic has brought profound changes to the economy, including construction sectors. Due to mobility restrictions, construction sector has experienced a declining growth. It caused the demand for construction materials and accessories experienced a sharp decline. The main purpose of this study is to explore the factors affected sales of construction materials and accessories. The data were collected by using web scraping from monotaro.id. Web scraping offers a real time and larger datasets as previous study was limited on obtaining data. The analytical method employed in this study is binary logistic regression. This study revealed that price, consumer review, and inventory status are statistically impacts the total sales of construction materials and accessories. Consumer review significantly increased the odds of a product sold 5 pcs and more. Similar to consumer review, the ready stock product increased the odds to total sales 5 pcs and more. Meanwhile, reducing price increased the total sales of construction materials and accessories.
