ANALYSIS OF BLUE ECONOMY POTENTIAL: STRATEGIES FOR SUSTAINABLE FISHERIES AND MARINE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN BANGKA BELITUNG PROVINCE USING THE LQ AND SHIFT-SHARE APPROACHES

Abstract


Blue economy potential plays an important role in sustainable development, especially in the fisheries and maritime tourism sectors. This study aims to analyze blue economy potential in Bangka Belitung Province using the Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift-Share methods to identify leading sectors and economic growth in coastal areas.
The LQ method is used to determine sector specialization, while the Shift-Share method analyzes the growth dynamics of the fisheries and maritime tourism sectors. The research findings are expected to provide recommendations for sustainable development strategies, strengthen local economic resilience, and support marine ecosystem conservation. This study utilizes secondary data from government agencies and regional statistical reports to comprehensively evaluate the contribution of these sectors to the regional economy.
