Abstract
Disaster resilient villages are one of the government's programs as a form of disaster mitigation in Indonesia. Natural disasters have a significant impact on the lives of Indonesians, especially in vulnerable areas such as Trenggalek Regency, which is prone to landslides. This research focuses on disaster risk mitigation in Dompyong Village, Bendungan District, using a participatory approach to build community resilience. The activities that include education and socialization involve field surveys, participatory mapping, disaster risk socialization, and assistance in disaster management. The results showed that the people of Dompyong Village live side by side with landslide risks that require in-depth knowledge related to mitigation and preparedness. Landslide hazard maps and community-based mitigation programs, such as bamboo planting, are important solutions in risk reduction efforts. The establishment of a rapid response team and the management of landslide detection tools are proposed to improve the community's resilience and ability to deal with disasters. Through these activities, it is expected that communities can adapt and become more resilient in the face of future disaster events. The active involvement of the community in this program shows high enthusiasm, which supports the creation of a sustainable Disaster Resilient Village
