Pendidikan Akuntansi bagi Remaja: “Membangun Kemandirian dalam Mengelola Finansial Pribadi”

Abstract


Literasi keuangan merupakan keterampilan penting yang perlu ditanamkan sejak usia remaja guna membentuk perilaku finansial yang sehat di masa depan. Namun, berbagai studi internasional menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi keuangan remaja masih tergolong rendah, terutama dalam aspek pencatatan, penganggaran, dan pengelolaan uang saku (Lusardi & Mitchell, 2014; OECD, 2020). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pendidikan akuntansi sederhana bagi remaja dalam mengelola keuangan pribadi secara efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan modul, implementasi workshop, pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi keuangan, terbukti dari kenaikan skor rata-rata peserta dari 62,5 (pre-test) menjadi 81,3 (post-test). Selain itu, sebanyak 80% siswa konsisten melakukan pencatatan keuangan harian, dan rata-rata tabungan meningkat sebesar 15%. Program ini juga mendapat dukungan dari guru dan sekolah untuk keberlanjutan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, serta berdampak positif terhadap komunikasi keuangan di tingkat keluarga. Dengan demikian, pendidikan akuntansi personal dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan manajemen keuangan pada remaja. Rekomendasi ke depan adalah integrasi materi ke dalam kurikulum, pemanfaatan aplikasi digital, serta penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengukur dampak jangka panjang.

Abstract

Financial literacy is a crucial skill that needs to be instilled from adolescence to foster healthy financial behavior in the future. However, various international studies indicate that adolescents' financial literacy levels are still relatively low, particularly in the areas of recording, budgeting, and managing pocket money (Lusardi & Mitchell, 2014; OECD, 2020). This community service activity aims to develop a simple accounting education model for adolescents to effectively manage their personal finances. The method used was a qualitative approach through the stages of needs analysis, module development, workshop implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in financial literacy, as evidenced by an increase in the average score of participants from 62.5 (pre-test) to 81.3 (post-test). Furthermore, 80% of students consistently recorded their daily finances, and average savings increased by 15%. This program also received support from teachers and schools for sustainability through extracurricular activities and had a positive impact on financial communication at the family level. Thus, personal accounting education can be an effective strategy for developing financial management skills in adolescents. Future recommendations include integrating the material into the curriculum, utilizing digital applications, and further research to measure long-term impacts.
