Pengaruh Sektor Pariwisata Terhadap Perkembangan Industri Kecil Menengah di Kota Blitar

Abstract

The tourism sector is a container that can be used to advance the welfare of the surrounding community. This phenomenon of the tourism sector has a major impact on the economy because it is sufficient to encourage employment, reduce unemployment and have a positive impact on the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the influence of the growth of the tourism sector on small and medium industries in Blitar City. The Blitar area is an area that has a variety of well-known tours, such as Bung Karno's grave, Kampung Coklat, Pohsarang Cave, and beaches and waterfalls that are scattered in the area. The large number of the tourism sector makes the small and medium industries around tourism develop well. The research approach model used namely a quantitative approach, using secondary data collection methods through the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) which is processed using the Simple Regression Test. The research results show that the tourism sector has significant positive effect on small and medium industries in Blitar City. Basically, the tourism sector can encourage a populist economy, especially in small and medium industries, which functions to improve the welfare of the community and the surrounding economic growth, especially in increasing regional income. So it is hoped that the tourism sector and small and medium industries can help the regional economy in introducing regional characteristics at the national and international levels.
