Abstract


Changes in the world of entrepreneurship are growing as technology advances, technological entrepreneurship is an established concept in the entrepreneurial world. However, this technological development must be accompanied by continuous revision and progress. The various possible combinations of technology and entrepreneurship have resulted in a diversity of phenomena with very different socio-economic characteristics and impacts. This discussion will focus on the identification and description of millennial technology entrepreneurship in the digitalization era. This development raises new challenges and removes the barriers of limitations that we experience today. Digital technology entrepreneurship is starting to grow, especially in universities and companies. The growth in these two institutions is the potential for the development of young millennial entrepreneurs. Based on the current example, we identify the potential development and readiness of millennials in facing the industrial revolution 4.0 and 5.0, and describe the progress of technology entrepreneurship, digital technology entrepreneurship, and digital entrepreneurship in the latest era, namely the industrial revolution 4.0 and 5.0. With this new definition of the term, we want to encourage discussion among researchers, entrepreneurs and policymakers about the impact of digitalization on entrepreneurship, and set the research agenda for the future.
