Abstract

This study examines the role of higher education institutions in implementing the Tridharma (three pillars of education), particularly in the areas of education and community service, which align with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) on quality education. The primary focus is on how higher education institutions contribute to expanding access and improving quality in Indonesia, as well as the challenges they face. This research method uses a descriptive approach, incorporating literature from various recent sources. The results indicate that higher education institutions play a significant role through improving academic quality, utilizing technology, and implementing inclusive programs. Integrating the SDGs into higher education also requires an evaluative, interdisciplinary approach, and broader collaboration with various stakeholders.
