Analisis Motivasi Belajar Murid melalui Game-Based Learning “EconoRush” pada Materi Bank Sentral di Kelas X-2 SMAN 8 Malang

Abstract


Economics learning often faces challenges in terms of students’ low engagement and learning motivation, especially when the learning process is still dominated by conventional and less interactive methods. This situation indicates the need for innovation in instructional strategies in order to create a more engaging learning environment that can encourage active student participation. This study aims to analyze students’ learning motivation through the implementation of game-based learning supported by digital learning media on the topic of Central Bank in class X-2 at SMAN 8 Malang. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The research participants consisted of 34 students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire covering four indicators, namely interest, attention, activeness, and perseverance. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that students’ learning motivation was in the high category, with a mean score of 3.92 and a standard deviation of 0.41. All motivation indicators were also in the high category, with the highest score found in the interest indicator at 4.12, while the lowest score was found in the perseverance indicator at 3.74. These findings confirm that the implementation of game-based learning through digital media can enhance student engagement during the learning process.
