Abstract

This article aims to identify the level of readiness of Teaching Assistance Program students in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the learning process at MAN 2 Batu City. This study presents a case study related to the implementation of AI utilization in teaching activities carried out by students as part of technology-based learning innovation. The use of AI is expected to support the effectiveness of learning and improve the quality of material delivery in class. This study uses a qualitative approach method with data collection techniques through interviews and observations of students participating in the teaching assistance program at MAN 2 Batu City. The research instruments cover several aspects, namely technological readiness (understanding and use of AI), pedagogical readiness (integration of AI in learning), readiness to adapt to technological developments, obstacles faced, as well as expectations and solutions for the use of AI. The results show that most students have recognized and used AI in learning, such as to compile materials, create teaching media, and search for references. Students also showed a positive attitude and fairly good adaptability to technological developments. However, there are still several obstacles, such as limited technical skills and lack of training. However, in terms of integrating AI into learning strategies, some students have been able to implement it quite optimally, although further strengthening is still needed. Furthermore, facilities and student readiness also influence the effectiveness of AI use in the classroom. Based on interviews with five respondents, this study found that the use of AI has the potential to improve the quality of learning, but requires support in the form of structured training and ongoing mentoring. This research is expected to provide an alternative formulation to improve student readiness in the use of AI in education.
