Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Smart-Accounting System to improve financial literacy and entrepreneurial spirit of students in the food security ecosystem at SMA Negeri 1 Tumpang, where the low financial literacy of Indonesian students compared to the global average and manual record-keeping are the main challenges in the free-range chicken farming, tilapia cultivation, conventional vegetable cultivation, and hydroponic programs based on a circular economy. The main objectives include evaluating the implementation of AI in financial management, the impact on students' financial understanding, and the contribution to entrepreneurial initiatives through practical experience. A descriptive-exploratory qualitative approach was applied with primary data from in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation; analyzed through the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña with triangulation for validity. The results show that AI transaction automation improves transparency, the accuracy of real-time reports, and students' creativity in waste utilization, thereby enriching integrated economic learning. In conclusion, this model contributes to the development of sustainable education in high schools with recommendations for replication for the financial independence of the younger generation.
