Fenomena AI-Driven Learning dan Pergeseran Perilaku Belajar Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Ekonomi Era Digital

Abstract


The presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the era of technological disruption has fundamentally changed the educational landscape, bringing both efficiency opportunities and challenges to students' independent thinking. This study aims to deeply understand the phenomenon of AI usage in economics learning among Class X students at SMAN 10 Malang. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data was collected comprehensively through direct observation, analysis of students' answers on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, and in-depth interviews. The results indicate a dominant use of AI, shifting learning behavior from active thinking to seeking instant results. A significant difference was found; students relying on analytical skills produced coherent and argumentative answers, while those depending on AI generated uniform and superficial responses to HOTS questions. Students' digital literacy levels vary, with some accepting AI outputs without verification. In conclusion, AI utilization must be balanced with the strengthening of digital literacy, integrity, and critical thinking skills, while the teacher's role remains crucial as an irreplaceable facilitator.
