Studi Fenomenologi Pengalaman Asistensi Mengajar dengan Bantuan AI pada Mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi Ditinjau dari Perspektif Aksiologi Pendidikan John Dewey

Abstract


This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the experiences of students who have participated in Teaching Assistantships at educational institutions in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) based on John Dewey’s educational axiology. This study employs a phenomenological qualitative approach, involving four informants from the 2022 cohort of Economics Education students at Malang State University who have served as Teaching Assistants as research subjects. Key findings in this study indicate that in enhancing teaching readiness, students often use AI as a technical tool or aid. However, the use of AI does not inherently hold significance for education if it is limited to its role as a mere efficiency tool. Therefore, John Dewey’s educational axiology bridges this issue by emphasizing the importance of utilizing AI to create authentic experiences, active learning, inclusivity, and contextual relevance, without neglecting the responsibility and ethics of prospective teachers.
