IMPLEMENTASI SUSTAINED SILENT READING UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN GEMAR BACA PEBELAJAR SD DENGAN PENDEKATAN BLENDED LEARNING
Abstract
Abstrak: Pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar merupakan upaya untuk membentuk sejumlah perilaku dasar dan kebiasaan. Diantaranya kebiasaan untuk gemar membaca. Pilihan pendekatan yang dapat diimplementasi untuk membentuk gemar baca adalah Sustained Silent Reading (SSR). Syaratnya, banyak pilihan bahan bacaan yang menarik, setiap hari ada waktu baca terprogram yang terpantau ketat meski tidak perlu waktu lama. Baik sekali bila ada kerjasama antara guru dengan orang tua. Model blended learning dapat dijadikan landasan untuk implementasi pendeketan SSR. Melalui optimalisasi segenap perangkat teknologi yang berkembang saat ini, aktivasi dalam model blended learning dapat berlangsung dimanapun dan kapanpun. Implementasi SSR secara konsisten di beberapa negara terbukti telah menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan.
