Meningkatkan Fleksibilitas Mahasiswa Perempuan dengan Latihan Stretching

Abstract


Flexibility has an important role in supporting maximum achievement in sports. To maximize flexibility, proper stretching is needed. This study aimed to determine: (1) the effect of passive static stretching on togok flexibility, (2) the effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching on togok flexibility (3) which stretching was better in increasing togok flexibility between passive static stretching and PNF. The method used in this research is an experiment with pre-test and post-test design. The sample was 16 students of the Sport Coaching Education study program at, the University in Central Java. The research data was obtained by using the sit and reach test. The data were analyzed using an independent sample test with the help of the SPSS 22.0 program. The results of the study (1) passive static stretching affect togok flexibility, the test results show the value of sig. 0.08 < 0.05. (2) PNF affects togok flexibility, the test results show the value of sig. 0.01 < 0.05. and (3) PNF has a better effect than passive static stretching, (the difference in PNF mean = 6.13 > average in passive static stretching is 5.25). In conclusion, togok flexibility can be increased by passive static stretching and PNF.

 

Fleksibilitas memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pencapaian prestasi maksimal dalam olahraga. Untuk memaksimalkan fleksibilitas diperlukan stretching yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh stretching statis pasif terhadap fleksibilitas togok, (2) pengaruh stretching Propioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) terhadap fleksibilitas togok (3) stretching yang lebih baik meningkatkan fleksibilitas togok antara stretching statis pasif dan PNF. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pre test dan post test design. Sampel sebanyak 16 mahasiswi program studi Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga salah satu Perguruan Tinggi di Jawa Tengah. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan sit and reach test. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan independent sampel test dengan bantuan SPSS 22.0. Hasil penelitian (1) stretching static pasif berpengaruh terhadap fleksibilitas togok, hasil uji menunjukkan nilai sig. 0.08 < 0.05. (2) PNF berpengaruh terhadap fleksibilitas togok, hasil uji menunjukkan nilai sig. 0.01 < 0.05. dan (3) PNF memiliki pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan stretching statis pasif, (rata-rata PNF = 6.13 > rata-rata stretching statis pasif 5.25). Kesimpulannya, fleksibilitas togok dapat ditingkatkan dengan stretching statis pasif maupun PNF
