Apakah ICT Mempengaruhi Nilai Sains Siswa Indonesia? Analisis Melalui Data Pisa 2018

Abstract


Studi ini meneliti apakah teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (information and technology communication/ ICT) mempengaruhi nilai sains siswa Indonesia. Data PISA tahun 2018 digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian. Regresi linier multivariat digunakan di penelitian ini; sebagai variabel dependen adalah nilai PISA bidang sains, sedangkan informasi tentang latar belakang siswa digunakan sebagai variabel independen, yaitu indeks status ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya, kepemilikan ICT di rumah, rasio komputer di sekolah terhadap jumlah siswa, rasio komputer di sekolah yang terhubung ke internet, waktu belajar sains, rasio siswa-guru, proporsi guru bersertifikat, proporsi siswa perempuan di sekolah, jenis sekolah, dan lokasi sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di antara semua variabel independen, hanya lima yang signifikan paling tidak pada taraf 10%. Di antara tiga variabel terkait ICT, hanya kepemilikan ICT di rumah dan rasio komputer yang terhubung ke internet yang signifikan secara statistik, artinya variabel tersebut berpengaruh terhadap nilai sains.
