RAPID WEIGHT LOSS (RWL) PENGATURAN POLA MAKAN, PENURUNAN CAIRAN, DAN METODE ERGOGENIK ATLET BELADIRI

Abstract


Rapid Weight Loss (RWL) dicirikan dengan penurunan berat badan dalam jangka waktu yang singkat yang biasanya dijadikan strategi sebelum bertanding oleh semua cabang olahraga, salah satunya cabang olahraga beladiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan berat badan atlet beladiri sebelum bertanding menggunakan RWL dengan 3 cara penurunan berat badan, diantaranya adalah pengaturan pola makan, pengeluaran cairan dalam tubuh dan ergogenik. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari atlet dan pelatih beladiri yang pernah mengikuti pertandingan. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa setiap atlet beladiri menggunakan 2-3 cara menurunkan berat badan, dilihat dari keseluruhan 51 responden dengan menunjukkan bahwa penurunan berat badan atlet beladiri sebelum bertanding yaitu menggunakan metode pola makan 50 atlet, penurunan cairan dalam tubuh 47 atlet, dan metode ergogenik. 22 atlet, dengan pengaturan pola makan 42%, penurunan cairan dalam tubuh 40% dan 18% menggunakan metode erg.
