Abstract

Physical education is one of the compulsory subjects carried out at the levels of elementary school to middle school and above. The success of the teacher cannot be separated from the mastery of every material and method that the teacher gives to his students. Some of the learning methods used by Sports and Health Physical Education (PJOK) teachers in schools are discovery, a method that can be used in K-13 curriculum learning. Learning model Based on problem based learning is a learning activity that requires thinking activities of students to understand a learning concept through the problems presented at the beginning of learning so that students are actively involved in learning activities. this review  describe  success  physical education and health learning using problem-based learning methods that can improve student learning outcomes, motivation and critical thinking in carrying out physical and health education learning. The access used by the author uses google scholar to collect data in the form of national articles, and access to gen.lib.rus.ec/scimag/ and google scholar to collect data in the form of international articles. The period of published articles accessed from 2010 to 2020. recommended in the subject of physical education and health is the problem-based learning method, because this method has succeeded in improving several aspects of students including learning outcomes, motivation, psychomotor, and student activeness. It is hoped that with this learning method, teaching will be better.
